If I can guess again, I guess C. The reason I picked E is because thats not that many working hard drives, while still having broken ones. But you made a program that shows HD activity, so you must have many HDs that work.
Anyone can do anything if they have nothing else to do

From the rules:
"He/she asks a question with 4 possible answers of which only one is good"

and

"You are free to put your question in as any way, as long as you have 4 answers to choose from."

Although the second line might suggest to have more than 4, the first one doesn't.

I though it would be stupid to add not 5 or more and not 3 or less, but perhaps I was mistaken afterall...

There was no B! A + C + D + E = 4! So me guessing B had no meaning that there was a B, infact it was the opposite! Sheesh  :D
