The lyrics are about many things.

I had a friend who made choices in life I didn't want to follow, though I could understand them. And realized that in other people we see ourselves. And that we are all the same but for the different choices we make.

Not sure that makes sense to anyone else.

Everything was played except for the drums which were samples placed into the track towards the end of the process.

Reflections

Its a small world
That one can see one's self

Reflections, in the air
                  in the sea
                  in the land
                  in your eyes
MYSELF!!!

I can't follow you down that road.
Though I tried, though I could.
Your life is lost to me,
Your life is lost to me!

Reflections, in the air
                  in the sea
                  in the land
                  in your eyes
MYSELF!!!

And its only the differences that
Make us who we are
Your life is lost to me,
Your life is lost to me,
Your life is lost to me,
Your life is lost to me,
Your life is lost to me,
Your life is lost to me!

Its a small world
That one can see one's self

MYSELF!!!

"And we are all the same but for the different choices we make" - I was tricked into thinking difficult by that sentence for a while, until I settled with 'but' meaning 'except'. I thought about another possible intended meaning, a less comprehensible one, but that would require 'but' not to mean 'except', so I doubt that it was sensible even to ponder the alternative.

The music then. The style corresponds pretty much with what I considered to be my favourite a while ago. I really liked the guitar and vocals of this one. Sometimes I am reminded of the concept of sincerity, like after listening to this song. Maybe is it about authenticity related to identification with the theme on the artists' part, maybe is it pure joy due to playing, performing. Perhaps, of course, none of the above, but then we're dealing with some impressive actors.

In one sense there was this somewhat unclear character with regards to the sound, but if I know you right, you're rather conscious about that, given how it may relate the subject matter at hand?

Actually, I quite enjoyed this.  Quite an angry little number.  Nice work.

thanks for the listens and comments both of you.

Applejoe,

This line  "And its only the differences that
Make us who we are "

is the correct meaning of the statement you were pondering.

Yeah, I settled with that interpretation after a brief confusion.

Do you have a few additional pieces of this type? I'm particularly interested if there's more of that sort of guitar playing involved?

(this post was originally a little longer, until I accidentally managed to mark everything and hit delete, but the core message is already conveyed, so fuck it)

Please be warned - I don't like repeating myself - so nothing here is exactly like the one you like.

I do have others - not posted here - that fits into this category.

Downloaded all except the one on traxinspace. I'll check them out quite soon.

EDIT: Yeah, I don't look for something overly similar totally, but something with a similar approach to guitar playing. Just listened to Reflections again. Really like the atmosphere,

which is the one at Traxinspace?

I thought I had corrected that with everything.
