[Dream Trance] Starlit Night (mptm/ogg)

A cut-down version of Starlit Night won the music compo at Buenzli 20. Now the full version of this dream trance track is available for your pleasure. The MPTM file is quite big compared to my other projects, since it contains large multisampled instruments and sequences from my Yamaha AN1x. It also requires the Equinox Grand Pianos soundfont, which is another 90mb (uncompressed).

Right off, i love it (so did Yjana!). It's dark, exotic, pulsating, with beautiful chord progressions, and just the right amount of lyricism. The timbral shifting is out of this world, perfect dose of FX, strong beat, and excellent levels. The transition at 3:00 is just what my ears were waiting for. Then the melodic line sits while the beat drives on, makes for an interesting technique. Perhaps a bit too abrupt of an ending (it calls for a de-layering over several measures), but all in all, a 9.5 out of 10!

Nice song, great melody. But thing I liked most was the chipsounds at the end.
