The Metamorphosis of Gregor is scored for trombone ensemble, orchestral percussion and electronics. All of the sound in this recording was performed on a Alesis Q49, Simmons SDMP1, Seagull Acoustic guitar, and voice. The Alesis Q49 was used to compose the trombone ensemble and the Simmons SDMP1 to perform the percussion. The acoustic sound sources were manipulated by computer to yield the sounds you hear.

The title comes from Franz Kafka's book The Metamorphosis http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Metamorphosis – an excellent read.

The Caller

Amazingly discordant and disturbing. I can imagine this as a film soundtrack.

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you The Caller!

The discordant nature is one advantage of working in alternate tunings. OpenMPT is capable of working in alternate tuning if you restrict yourself to using only samples.
Changing the tuning can be a bit confusing at first though I have found the end result justifying the work in understanding how to do it.

Have a great day!
