Vst intrument won't play in the modplug player

I tried to use a vst intrument for the first time. it works in openmpt, and I can hear it while editing. But once I try to play it in the modplug player I can't hear it. However i can hear the rest of the song. I am very confused, what am i doing wrong?

Only modplug tracker supports vst's. Not modplug player.

oh. thanks for the fast reply. is there any other way to play it outside of the tracker that will work?

No. You'll have to render your tracks to WAV. There is limited support for DirectX plugins in XMPlay/BASS, but no VST plugins.
