In response to a suggestion of Dr. Ozan Yarman I tried a tuning he created for a different project. I realized the composition using Garritan Personal Orchestra Baroque organs, Garritan World sample set Oud and Santoor samples performed on an M-Audio 88es and recorded in Sonar X1.

Notes as i'm listening:

I am always intrigued by Middle Eastern music. So i decided to give it a listen. I will assume this is an improv rather than a composition (in the traditional sense). As such there is no melody i can hook into, but the repeated cadences at about 1:30 can serve as something of a tune given a little counterpoint or accompaniment.
The addition of the cathedral organ really turns it into Constantinople! But still an improv makes it unreachable into my comfort zone.
Technically the stereo imaging and other engineering is pretty good. If i had my drothers i would add some accompaniment and someone trying to keep a beat with finger cymbals or the like. :)
