In 2006 we visited a Japanese garden. The piano was an improvisation in 17 note per octave equal temperament performed in September of this year. On my way to the performance yesterday I was listening to this in the car and started to hear a bit of oriental influence in the melodies. So today I dug out the pictures from the trip and married the two. I hope you enjoy.

Some oriental influence indeed. An inspiring environment.

is the piano tuned well? as i've spotted (micro) pitch problems on several notes. Calming piece nevertheless and i liked the pictures also.
I'm as calm as a synth without a player.  (Sam_Zen)

@Sam

Thanks for the listen and comment!!

@Psi

Psi, it is in 17 note per octave tuning. Follow the  link to the original post and I think you might see the description there.

Driving home from visiting my father with the family tonight I wondered if this were played on  something other than a piano that perhaps your expectation might have been different. Lets say I used a sitar, tambura and tabla setting for the same melody perhaps your ears would have been more accepting of the tuning.  For 17 notes per octave all of the notes are correct.

Thanks for the listen and comment!!
