Yesterday, the nervousity and anger about fiddling with odds and ends in another track ended up with beginning a new, "fast" one.

I didn't have a mood to endlessly look for "suitable" samples, so I decided to simply stick with some ancient ones. Except the hihat, all of them come from ST-xx packs (I had to drop the "all-ST" idea because of the darn hihat samples in ST-packs, which sound like cowbells instead of hihats).

As I said, I didn't care about the quality, about the details. I just let the ideas flow, and after three hours, I got this:

One thing that bugs me is that the track seems incoherent (which is probably due to no fixed structure). I would like to know if it does to you too.

Anyway, I guess I had to give myself a break from that fast EDM I always seem to end up in.

I dunno what you mean by incoherent.
This is a nice piece, cheesy in a good sense.

btw. hihats can sound like cowbells, it depends on how and where you hit them.

Thanks for listening;

Incoherent? Well, maybe it's just me, I like when there are let's say two shorter melodies which repeat one after another with little changes. In this song, there's one, long, non-repeating, non-patterned melody which goes from point A to point B with no rules.

But as I said, maybe it's just me not being accomodated to such approach.

And the hihats - yes, the problem was that I wanted something white noise-ish, and was quite surprised I had problems looking for something like that in the ST-xx packs.
