Composed for the title-menu of an upcoming computer game.
The basis is being lost in space within a dream.

Hope you like :)

It sounds very good, but I can imagine some growing percussion in the second half.

I like it, too, but it does seem to just peter away into nothingness... It'd be nice if it did something a bit more, perhaps percussion like Sam_Zen suggested.

But I guess it makes sense for it not to really carry on for that long, 'cos it's the title screen music.

KrazyKatz

Thanks for the feedback. You pretty much answered your own point, bvanoudtshoorn. The title-music has to be short and a limited size ( the game is for download ) so I didn't have too much room for expansion. Introducing percussion would have probably extended it into a full length piece.

Sam_Zen

Not necessarily. Percussion doesn't have to mean introducing some steady beat.
It can also be used to emphasize a moment of chordal change, by hitting for example a snare with much hall, a cymbal, etc.

what program do you compose your music in?  If it's modplug, what are your settings set at?  Your music is excellent by the way.

I compose in Modplug and Cubase SX 3. This piece uses the latter. Feel free to PM for more info.

I listend through all of the stuff on your website during the course of the day today.  Very enjoyable and great production values.  I liked your orchestral material a lot -- it reminded me of Shostakovich for some reason.  The pizzicato strings in some of the pieces were really cool.

KrazyKatz

Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed. Shamefully I haven't heard too much of Shostakovitch, but I'll make a point of doing so!

Cheers!

Excellent tune! I wouldn't say it goes into nothingness - absolutely neat. Percussion will only spoil it all.

Can you share a guitar-like sample you're using? (or is it a VST/sf2) I wanna do smth with it too! ;)

KrazyKatz

Aye, got to agree with you there, Louigi :) I'm not sure which samples you're referring to, But P.M me and I'd be glad to help out.
