[Skareggae?] summer in the village (it)

Hi everybody,

This song is my first in the OMPT/Wine connection :-D
Guitar samples and some more played with ZynAddSubFX and sampled with Audacity.
Not sure whether it's Ska or Reggae.

Ska or Reggae is obvious because of the off-beat intrument.
This associates with happy-go music, but I listened to a summer with quite some tension in the air..
Quite fit as background for a crime scene. The sounds at 3:00 are on top of that.
In this view I think the switch after 4:18 is breaking down the value of this song, because then it becomes tenseless music.

I wanted to make something relaxing and it ended up in a thriler :-D
But you are right. It's too slow and too minor to be a funny piece.

In fact, it's not really reggae or ska. It is rather dub, a slow dub.

I would like to mix your music. I have some ideas : put a big bass and few dub-delays.

Of course you can make a mix (if you still want to). It would be great if you post the result here in the forum or give me a link where i can listen to it when you're finnished.

At this moment, I'am working on your track "Summer in the village". I like your track. It should be different after my changes : stereo, effects, bass and a blend of your patterns. I take my time ! Sure, I will post my mix of your music in few days.
