For some reason, I cannot save the default.mkb file when I change the keyboard shortcuts. Why does this happen? You can disregard the question in this post. I have figured out a solution to solving the problem!

Could you post the solution? Might be of help to others.

The solution is to save the file with a different name, delete the original (the one that you did not give a new name to), then rename the other file.

For example, "Can't open file (default.mkb) for writing. Aw, crap! No problem!
1. Do Save Keys As (or whatever it was called), give the new key set a different name (if you save it in the same directory) (recommended)
2. Delete the original "default.mkb" file. I would recommend holding down Shift while pressing Delete so that you do not have to minimize all of your open windows just to empty the recycle bin!
3. Rename "default (2).mkb," or whatever you called the new file.
4. Reopen Modplug Tracker, rename the key mapping file to match that of the newly made set, make a change to the key combinations, then click OK and/or Apply. I would recommend changing it back unless it was one that you knew that you wanted!
