Logitech has very good keyboards that are well under this price

If you want a new keyboard, you probably not get a very good one for that price. Most good keyboards are over 1000 usd. Atleast, I think cus thats how the prices are here in the netherlands.

I think you'd better go look for yourself at a store, cus thats the best way to find you a nice keyboard.

Yamaha, Korg and Roland are very good brands. I've had bad experiences with Casio because their sound is somewhat... bad :P

its a question of what kind of keyboard you are looking for... are you looking for a full studio solution?
just a keyboard with some nice samples? full weighted keys realistic feeling one?

if i were to buy a keyboard, i would buy a controller only one with 88 weighted keys, and just use soundfont hardware on my comp for the sounds.... using a 40mb piano soundfont could result in much better sound than even higher end yamahas...
