VLIW processors remind me of trackers

I'm being completely serious here. Have you ever seen the raw assembly of a program for a VLIW (very long instruction word) processor? It looks just like a pattern in a tracker module, multiple notes (instructions) playing simultaneously, row-by-row...

And that's one of the reasons I love them so much.

What do y'all think of my analogy? If you want a good example of VLIW code, I recall there being at least one such processor in the Sega Saturn.
