A song for a frightening encounter with a spooky ghost!

This track was made using the instruments from the song "The Penis - Eek!" by Surasshu that became a meme a while ago. Here is the download link for that module.

After learning that the song was a tracker module, I downloaded it to take a look. I ended up trying out the instruments and used some of its techniques. Every time I do a cover or look at the project file of a song, I end up learning new tricks or spending more time with a technique I don't utilize very much.

I think this song turned out really good. I could've made this thing stretch to over 4 minutes long but I decided to keep it shorter. There are some places I could improve the song but I do really like it. I'll openly admit to listening to this song for most likely well over an hour in total since I finished it a few days ago. (I always intend to make the music I want to hear and sometimes a track just clicks with me.)

I've always kind of struggled making proper chiptune stuff in OpenMPT for some reason, but I guess all it took was proper inspiration for me to churn out 90% of this song in one afternoon ;D I tend to use other software for making chiptunes (Furnace Tracker is my other main tracker) but for songs which have a more heavy reliance on samples, OpenMPT is my go-to.

Here is the link to the Newgrounds upload if you would rather listen to/download the mp3 of it, and the YouTube upload shows the tracker view as well.

Alright, enough blabbing. I should start creating the sample lists and cleaning up the modules for all the tracks of my OpenMPT album so I can share it here. Dunno when I'll get around to doing that but it will happen.

Its pretty nice,   but making chip is so old,  should use the fm synthesizer its way newer to make cool songs with!!!

<edit>

oh cool  Technetium came straight after! and its what I wanted to hear!!

was it 100% the synthesizer, even the drums?
it looked like it by the look of the scope, but its hard to be sure.

2:45 loved the noisy ("crispy"?) type strings that came in there,  and the drums were cool if they were synthesized. and it sorta continued from there even had some moch voices come in from the tracks+synth.
