To anyone how can help me.
I been using OpenMPT with no issues until today. Suddenly the play button does not work. Everything else seems fine. I read the FAQ but could not identify my issue. I rebooted, reinstalled the application on windows 11 (64bit) but did not help. I feel it could be a driver issue. I tried to change the output under setup but did not help. I am stuck and need some guidance. Much appreciate anyone who can help me. FYI - My discord is Jon_Kurishita.

By "does not work", do you mean that the button is greyed out? If the button is blue (so it's clickable), what does happen? Do you see any movement in the UI? Do the VU meters light up? Does the pattern playback position get updated? Or is nothing happening at all?
Can you provide a screenshot of the device list in the output setup?

Thank you very much for your reply. Much appreciated.

I think I resolved the issue. It seems that when I did a windows 11 update, the OpenMPT changed my default output device.
I had to go into settings and changed it to MME-RealTeck Digital Output. MME is the only version that would work.
I thought WASAPI would work but does not. My settings someone changed to WASAPI. Once I changed the output to MME, I got the player to play and sound working.

WASAPI is the default. MME is emulated through WASAPI since Windows Vista, so it's surprising that MME is working for you but WASAPI isn't.

What happens if you choose "WASAPI - Default Device", and what's the output format it is set to?

Also, to better understand what the problem is it would still be good to know in what way WASAPI output is not working. Is OpenMPT unable to start playback (no movement in pattern or sample editors), or does it appear to play something but you just don't hear it?

When I select WASAPI, OpenMPT is unable to start playback - no movement in pattern or sample editors. It is like no driver or output is allowed to work with it.

I am trying to create dynamic music for my DeusEx mod called Redsun2020:REVISE. I can use standard .umx music or normal .IT imports to unrealed that uses no branches with no issues. It is only when I try to use dynamic branch bxx samples I will get crashes when playting the game when it changes branches.

To be honest, I am looking for someone who as some little free time to help me get this .IT music working. Do you know anyone? I could not fine anyone so I was trying to attempt to do this myself but it is a bit of a technical challanged for me and taking all my time. I do not know any music hobby people and much appreicate if you know of any one who could help me.

Most of my samples are created by UDIO - aka AI generated. They came out pretty good. I can change the length using Adobe Primiere Pro and export it to .wave files which can be loaded into OpenMTP for setup and BXX command setup. I have music docs to follow but really hard for me. :<
