Disable "editing disabled" popup?

Is there a way to disable the "Editing (recording) is disabled;_ click here to fix it" popup? It's very annoying when I'm trying to play notes on the keyboard without recording them, and then I accidentally hit a wrong key and have to click off the popup so I can keep playing.

Setting the hidden setting Pattern Editor.NoEditPopup to 1 disables this popup.
