Hi,

after heavy testing FM7 i bought this VSTi... but now the Full version crashes every time i close the plugin-window in OMT...

Has anybody the same problem?

LPChip

I haven't tried, but I'm sure it has something to do with updates done to the full version that aren't in the demo version.

What version of the plugin and of OpenMPT?

OMT: 1.17.02.42 - Build Date: Wed Mar 15 00:04:08 2006

It says, in user.exe, which is odd, cus that doesn't seem FM7 nor MPT related. Are you sure its OpenMPT that crashes this? Can you perhaps try this on another pc?

Hm, i have no other pc here to test it... also no other app like cubase...

It crashes IN Modplug, not Modplug crashes it ;) But it's a little bit stupid if you always have to keep the VSTi-window open...

I'll try it on another pc those days...

Hmm I grabbed 1.1.3.4 and don't get an error when I close the window.
I googled around and found a lot of references to issues with user.exe from people running Win98. Are you on win98?

Like LP said, I think it would be great if you could try it out in another VST host. This should not be hard.

How do you guys get those detailed error reports you copy and paste? All I get is an error box, not even a type of error (GPF, illegal instruction, etc...). I would like to have that ability.
Anyone can do anything if they have nothing else to do

I have the same problem with Absynth2 :P

Poser

Yes i use Win98, maybe is THIS the problem ;) I remember some other apps crashing with user.exe ...

Hmm both FM7 and Absynth list WinXP as a system requirement on the native instruments website. I'm not 100% sure this is the problem, but it seems likely.

Testing the plugin on another VST host would confirm whether I can do anything to help or not. Until you confirm you can't reproduce the crash on another VST host, I'll assume there's nothing I can do. :D
