Why so many good web pages died in 2010-2013?

Try doing a search at https://archive.org
Maybe people archived some pages there.  You'll almost never find files but you never know, you might find the exact filenames to do a deeper search with.

Thanks, but...
Why did so many pages die in that specific year? there are pages that stayed in 2013 (mainly forums).
What I mean is that, in that year, many pages were forgotten... why?
For example: ng@ge, novus music, etc.

Many of the pages that happened to them are still valid on the internet, and you will be dead if you wait for someone to answer you...

Maybe back then ppl moved to conventional daws like fl studio bc they were apparently more convenient?

its pretty much because up to that point people were already settled with the certain apps you see today like twitter, facebook and later on instagram because it was a lot more convenient to look for 3 or 4 topics you like in one app instead of going to 3 or 4 separate websites dedicated to one topic.

Facebook.

Yep, this is the reason. Many webpages were stopped being used when people started to use Facebook massively. Many communities moved to facebook or died if there was no facebook alternative.

Since Facebook started and people started to use it, they visited forums and sites less and less, and as such other members started to come less and less too. Its not the case for every site, but it is for the majority. OpenMPT has also shifted its focus. In the past when forums was still a thing, there was lots of chatter about anything. Now that chatter has been moved to Facebook and sharing music and discussing development is what is still here. There is still a bit of discussion about anything, but not nearly as much as there used to be.

Does OpenMPT even have an official Facebook page?

I would be willing to start one if you guys want... I am a member of a tracking facebook group which has actually seen some recent new life, but even somewhere like that very few people talk about ompt - I have seen some posts, but not that many...
Our own facebook page/group could be a good thing...
If not, I can understand that, facebook is pretty much a cesspool of crazy, like twitter and many other places, crazy seems to be the norm for big social media platforms :P

No. If you find an page on any social media apart from Twitter claiming to be an official OpenMPT account or page, it's a lie. Please don't try to be helpful by starting one either.

Ofc that'd be pointless, even the subreddit isnt really active and has barely more than 100 members

Obviously starting one and calling it 'official' would be a lie without at least the go ahead or stated support from the community here, but honestly even 100 people would be more than many of the groups and pages I have started on facebook, and it would be a place for me to gush over my favourite software even if no one else uses it, unlike here which would be redundant or reddit which I admit I dont even think of - the fact that people still use reddit is nice I guess. I did go looking for an OMPT facebook page years ago and found none but I didnt check now.
TLDR : if you start one (not recommended by saga) call it a fan page, there will be nothing official about it.

Here is Twitter https://twitter.com/OpenMPT
But I don't think anyone misses Facebook page. This forum is better place to build community.
