is there a stop note?

is there a stop note? some trackers have a note that looks like "-" that will stop a note. i can't find anything like it on the documentation. does openmpt have a stop note? and if so, how can i find it?

Instantly cuts playing sample
Instantly stops instrument’s envelopes
Press ' (tilde) under "Esc" in Pattern Editor.

== (Note Off, IT/MPTM)
Releases the sample’s sustain loop, continues in normal loop if enabled
Press "Shift+1" in Pattern Editor.

There is also ~~ (Note Fade), which fades out the note using the instrument's fadeout value.

Please refer to the documentation about the exact details how each of thse commands works and which formats support them.
