How to assign notes to computer keyboard ?
« on: June 11, 2006, 21:44:13 »
Hi,
I don't use a MIDI keyboard to enter notes in MPT. I play on my computer keyboard. How to organize the correpondence between notes and keys ? Is there a specific keymap for it ?

Thanks for help.

Go to View/Settings/Keyboard/Category: Pattern Editor - Note Col and you can assign notes to keys as you please.

Edit: Also check out some of the existing azerty keymaps made by the French MPT community guys: http://nokenjisan.free.fr/MPTFR/download.php?view.9

Thanks for the topic, AppO. I don't use any MIDI gear either.

And thanks rewbs, I never checked this Note Col option before. So I guess I will make make my own keymap then.

Great news ! From now on, all notes I need will be available on my old PC keyboard. OMPT is a great tracker.

Have a good compo time.
