FreezeFlame(Alchemy)

Designed this track for testing the playback routine of a homemade MOD player for the MSP430 microcontroller. It has several important features, and those are:

  • The use of only one effect (Cxx, which is volume control),
  • limited to 3 octaves (protracker compatible),
  • very small samples (around 4.8 kB in total),
  • only 4 channels (protracker compatible).
That makes its structure very primitive, which can make it very useful for testing out the mixing routine of a mod player, if it functions properly, before moving on to implement the effects.
Ended up sounding pretty good, so i decided that i should share it. Might come in use for someones project, or just being a nice listening experience.

If you are interested in listening to this track, i recommend going to my Youtube video and hearing it for yourself. If you end up liking it, why not download the track itself (included in this post) or the rendered FLAC file?

Anyways, thanks for having taken a look at this post and wish you a nice day.
Blue Flames of the Night.

Was known as Alchemy before(with an Dialga picture).
