Does OpenMPT have "built in" samples/instruments? Like is there already a built in bass drum, acoustic guitar, etc.?

Thank you,

OpenMPT comes with a very small selection of samples (namely used those with the example songs), but apart from that you will have to find your own instruments. We have prepared a small list to get you started here: https://openmpt.org/top_picks

OpenMPT also tries to find the default soundfont used for MIDI playback, which will then populate the MIDI library in the tree-view on the left. However, these are very basic samples, and I would recommend against using them. There are many better free sample sources and VST plugins that you can download.
