Working with VSTs...
« on: May 06, 2006, 14:48:35 »
So far, I have a pretty basic understanding of VSTs...I can get as far as loading a VST instrument into OpenMPT and getting it to accept input from my midi keyboard...I just have a few questions, what are the options "Midi Bank" and "Midi Program" used for?

I know little of this, but at least with a vst named VST2MID, which can be used to play midi sounds from OMPT, 'Midi Program' can be used to choose the midi instrument.

Some VST instruments can play several instruments at once, midi bank and midi program selects what instrument is played. Others use it to select presets.
