I remember posting on these forums when I didn't have anything complete to share. I finally finished something, so here you go :)
This is a drum and bass-inspired track I started over a year ago. It used to be at 170 bpm, but I revisited it and slowed it to 150 bpm. I threw in some oldschool-sounding beats, yet kept the mellowness that I wanted it to have. It's a bit repetitive, but then again so are many songs in the genre. This should be a nice watery background track, and I hope you enjoy it.
Download in .wav format is available through soundcloud.

I for one am not DLing a 48 MB audio file to my flashdrive. If you'd like a decent review, compress it in to mp3 or ogg & let us know... :)

If this is intelligent jungle, what's dumb jungle? dumb'n'bass? ;D
Anyway, nice and relaxing tune.

Harbinger, is 10.9 MB better? I made it an .mp3, and it's available at the following link:

Saga Musix, I was going off the Listing of Musical Genres topic. It's funny you say that, as I have made the Dumb'n'Bass joke when thinking of the title Intelligent before too :P I could have put Atmospheric instead of Intelligent, but what fun is that? Also, thanks for the kind words :)

I'd be careful about basing your genres off that list. Not because it's wrong but because it can be hard to distinguish between different styles just by text alone. Your best bet is to listen to other tracks of that style to see if your track resembles that sound. But i appreciate you trying to give us an idea -- it's why i wanted to hear it. I'll get back to you on my 2 cents.

If it helps, LTJ Bukem was credited as one of the leaders regarding Intelligent DnB (and if I recall correctly, he didn't like the title either XD He thought it made him sound pretentious). I do feel pretty confident that it fits the "intelligent" tag in that regard, as my song resembles much of the stuff LTJ did in his first Essential Mix.

But ok, next time I'll use a tag that'll make a bit more sense for those trying to get an idea from the genre tag :) I can see where you are coming from.
