hello! i am new and i just wonder is there any way to remove backing vocals on an instrumental track? does it works in any program besides modplug?

Saga Musix

Short answer: No, it is not possible most of the time.
Long answer: How would you imagine a program to tell vocals and music apart? There is a very simple way to remove vocals on some (by far not all) tracks which is mostly a trick that works because of how vocals are often mixed. If the vocals are placed at the dead-centre of the mix, you can remove the mid signal and the side signal remains (though as a mono signal). This can be done by inverting the phase of one channel and then adding them together. There is a little freeware application that does this called Vocal Remover. It will not work as soon as the vocals are spread across the stereo spectrum. There is no sensible way to remove vocals in that case because, again, how should the software tell apart between vocals and instruments?
