The original is 4C, this is the stereo mixdown of Mutated Gravity - 13:16

Base material : a short 13 sec sample of some Synthi sounds.
Tools : two different time stretchers, PXS and BestPractice, each with their own algoritm.
The results were finetuned to a common byte length with CEP, and layered.

hmmm, some interesting sounds on some places, but the overall development is too slow and too "artificial". It doesnt sounds as it was composed (or arranged at all), but more like generated with a preset.

Maybe i was expecting a lot more variations and stuffs to go on. :D Yea, i hate my prejudges too.

You're right. Not much 'musical' variations.

I consider things like this as a 'technical' composition, which contains the tuned conditions for the generated sounds.

yea, we can call it like that. As you sliced a still sound to many little pieces, slowed everything down and put some gap between the slices. The timing is steady, but the sound does evolves with every slice, no matter that the variation is relatively minor. Paul's extreme may had more interesting outcome, but every algorithm has its own profile, and the word "interesting" is relative itsef. This 2 fellas together have an unique sounding of their own for sure.
