How well does VLC plays modules?

Since six weeks ago, I use VLC to play modules. I hear some differences (lacks of functions too) between OpenMPT / XMPlay / VLC in playback, so I like it a little bit more, even to render modules.

afaik, VLC uses libmodplug. Should play the same as old ModplugPlayer, at the very least.
