Its quite funny though: What Wodd said is somewhat correct too. One year ago, I've bough a new pc with this processor and everything on it. I needed to go faster, and this is the best processor that can be on this motherboard.

The performance increase is outdoing my expectations though. :) But it has to be :P

Wow! Are you rich, LPChip? I looked at the Athlon 64-FX (as well as systems with it built-in) and they are definitely not cheap! It probably cost you about $3,000 (actually, probably more than that) for that computer!

Let's see here:

I have the FX-60, which has a 2,6 ghz dual core system.

Although indeed this processor normally costs around $1000, I got it for half the price :D
