I'll go with C, just by process of elimination.

I'm going to assume that it's right, so here's a question about me -

I'm not usually the type for any kind of strenuous activity, but which of these have I done (and later regretted)?

A. Jumped off an eight-metre telegraph pole
B. Been sponsored to cycle a route around the Scottish Highlands
C. Skydived (skydove?) with the university's club
D. Run into the freezing North Sea at midnight as part of a university tradition

How about A - it sounds like a thing to regret   :)

D. It can make you very sick which is something that makes you regret it, and also when entering the water (which obviously is cold) will make you regret aswell :P

Maybe that can cause sickness, but on the other hand a hobby of swimming in a 'hole' created for example on frozen river is quite common in some places(haven't tried it myself, though) :)

Well, each of the potential answers had some truth to them except one - C, the only one that wasn't picked.

B is false, as the most I've ever cycled was 25 miles, and that was as part of a charity event that runs yearly here. I was sponsored about ?40 to do it, though.

D is almost true - at this university we have a tradition of running into the sea on May the 1st, and I've done it twice. However, it's not at midnight after the sea has been warmed, but at dawn - 5am, in a sea not yet warmed by the sun, on a latitude equal to bits of Alaska.

So that leaves A as the correct answer! Relabsoluness has the next question. This happened what I was a Prefect in school, and took a group of new first years out to an "outdoor activity centre" as a team-building experience. One such activity was jumping off a gigantic pole and trying to catch a trapeze two metres in front of it, while only supported by a harness that was held in place by the rest of the team on the ground.

After my first years had tried, we had some time left and I made the mistake of agreeing to try it as well. I climbed up, launched myself towards the trapeze and caught it - the only one to have managed it that day.

The regret came when I let go.

Some people have low quality standards - partly because of that, recently I have found myself trying to teach some people:

A) How to play guitar
B) Boxing
C) Programming
D) Mathematics

C i think, quality is essential in programming
Anyone can do anything if they have nothing else to do

Most musicians are talented. I'm just determined.

Indeed it is, but still I'm teaching it  ::)  So it was correct.
