In documenting the differences of MPTM format, i ran across this in the .53 changes:

Quote/ <jojo & re> Sequence view: Sequence scrolling won't no longer be cut on first '---' item on IT/MPTM/XM. (rev. 237)

Explain what was happening, and what this corrects.

It's useless for most of your everday modules, but necessary for some old game tunes (and maybe some other):
Normally, you would think that a tune ends with the first "---" item in the sequence list. But there are some tunes (like the ingame music from Death Really) that have several subtunes, which are seperated with "---" items. In old versions of modplug, you were not able to reach those subtunes (well, you actually were, but the scroll bar was too short), and now you can also reach those subtunes. It's not worth mentioning in a manual or whatever, it's merely a bugfix.

Example: Compare the sequence length of this module in old versions of MPT and the latest: http://modarchive.org/module.php?64006
Even better example: http://modarchive.org/module.php?50665

Actually, it's worth mentioning in what the null pattern (---)  does or doesn't do. At least i don't hafta put in a caveat about subtunes in some .it files.

Thanks for the clarification!
