more in Wendy Carlos alpha tuning

Improvised in two passes

it was a bit a hard to judge the lead notes

Sam_Zen

Judging the lead notes : maybe better giving them a bit less hard attack. Some tiny fade-in.

Hi Sam,

Thanks for the listen. What I intended to communicate is that it was hard to judge what note to play because the Alpha scale changes where the "octave" function is.

So does your comment still apply?

Thanks,

Chris

Sam_Zen

Yep. It was not about which note, but about the shape of the note.

well, since I got it midi recorded I can change that

I'll post it. Perhaps tonight - right now I got to do some work around the house.

hmm, this could sound right with some minor improvements
- i would lover the overall volume of the lead instrument (the high attack seems ok 4 me)
- i would try not to (over)use the octave pitch effect on every note, but leave this feature on the "dramatic/interesting moments". (magic stays magic when it's rare, it disappears when becoming a common thing)
I'm as calm as a synth without a player.  (Sam_Zen)

I forgot this was in Wendy Carlos' alpha tuning.

so the 2nd re-work mixes "normal" and Wendy's tuning.

This one is a combination of Sam + Psi's suggestions

This one is just... odd

absolutely the second "andmore" version wins. This is the atmosphere what the piece needs, deadly dark and mysterious, very entertaining Uncloned, nailed the improvements. The ending also hit the spot, gjob. :gjob:
