.52 Wav Export seems to discard position jumps
« on: March 07, 2009, 20:53:08 »
Full Version:
OpenMPT v1.17.02.52

Has the bug occured in previous versions? If yes, please specify version(s): (This option is optional, and doesn't need research. But in case you know...)
Yes, tested with version 1.17.02.48 and 1.16

Description of the bug:
Wav Export does not seem to respect pattern jumps that lead to the same pattern. Try to render ftp://ftp.scene.org/mirrors/hornet/code/audio/docs/fmoddoc2.zip (ODE2PTK.MOD), it will cut out all pattern jumps that lead to a row in the same pattern.

Edit: Moved to the issue tracker: http://bugs.openmpt.org/view.php?id=21

Wouldn't that create an endless loop? Perhaps it's not a bug but crash prevention...

endless loops can be created easier, and that is not even prevented. i've been able to create endless wav exports a couple of times with very simple mods.
And modplug won't crash from creating an endless wav file. but your hard drive will, maybe :P
