Hmmm... I have two songs in the 'Freebies' section of my website which may help. If they're of any use to you just mail me for confirmation. All I ask is for is credit.

I don't think it's possible to categorize by license type. But if you find something you like in the downloads section you can always PM the user. We're a friendly community here... when were not flaming each other >:)

YOU SAID WHAT‽ okay, thats a joke obviously :)

Maybe I should just set you on fire... but that probably doesn't count as flaming eachother, right? :P
"Heh, maybe I should've joined the compo only because it would've meant I wouldn't have had to worry about a damn EQ or compressor for a change. " - Atlantis
"yes.. I think in this case it was wishful thinking: MPT is makng my life hard so it must be wrong" - Rewbs

Hmm. A wrong approach in my opinion anyway in the first place.
As KrazyKatz says, we're a community here, not the music industrial complex.
So if you like some work, you can make direct contact with the author and make some arrangement.

Plus the fact that, even if a work is called 'free', and it's for non-commercial purposes, maybe a 'deal' is not necessary,
but it still would need the normal civilised behaviour to clearly mention the author of the used material.

Chemical elements. Interesting subject to compose.

I second Zen on his points. However, most musicians and artists are picky to various degrees about their works and what happens to them. So make every effort to contact the author. But most of us are rather lenient on what we let others do with our music, as long as you let us know your intentions.
Myself, i would guess that i'm the pickiest. I don't demand money for anything that i upload to these sites, but i'm choosy about what people do with my music. Most of my music is "commercial-worthy," but that doesn't mean people have carte-blanche to include it in their commercial projects.

Like Zen said, the very least is to credit the author; the very worst is to expect to have to pay for commercial inclusion. Just contact the composer and ask out of gentlemanly courtesy.

Like Harbinger, I'm also very picky about how and by whom my work is used.
And commercial purpose is a different story. Then it's an obligation to ask the author for permission,
even if the work is free to download.
