Does anyone know if the HP Pavilion dv9310us' card reader supports SDHC cards?

I have no idea.

Why not go to your local store and ask it there. If there's one person that would know it, it is one in your local store.

i just got an hp dv2530 and it's got a ricoh 5-in1. if yours is the same then i think the answer is no. a friend was round with a camera and i'd not tried the reader so popped in her card. the drive flashed but did nothing so i spent a while looking it up to see if the reader was suppsed to do these but it only said 'SD' not 'SDHC' on the info i could find.

I am not sure if any of the stores in my local area sell that model. Best Buy sells a similar model, but I do not remember if that one had SDHC support. I believe the one that Best Buy had was the dv9304us. I would imagine though, that if the 9304 has support for HC, that the 9310 would. That makes sense. I e-mailed HP and asked that question, but I have not received a response from them yet. The other laptop that I was looking at was the Acer Aspire AS9300-3716, but I have heard some "not so good" things about Acer's (http://www.acer.com) computers. My brother has an Acer laptop, and he tried to uninstall some of the built-in software, but his camera stopped working when he did that, so he had to restore to a previous date to make his camera work again. He and my dad were thinking that he may have accidentally uninstalled the camera program, but I am not sure if they actually found what the cause was. Plus, we have used HP's (http://www.hp.com) computers for as long as I remember (though I believe that my grandmother used Gateway a few times) (Gateway's computers are more expensive though I believe). In fact, my desktop that I have right now is a Compaq Presario 6000 (a company which is now part of HP). Yeah, I have an old computer! I have wanted a new one for quite some time now! My computer barely supports Vista and does not have a built-in card reader (quite annoying at times)! You probably cannot even find the Presario 6000 on HP/Compaq's site anymore! You may still be able to find it on eBay (http://www.ebay.com) though.
