Very talented fellow playing a set of the rare & recent hang drums.
They have the most beautiful mellow sounds.

LPChip censored my response to this as being off topic. I am reposting it.

My response that was deleted.

interesting instrument - I wish I had a pair

This link is for the very same drums that the performance in the video used...........

Just so there is NO confusion.

Appearantly I got confused as I couldn't find the post this post was referring to. There was no quoting as reply (which is now available) and the link didn't went to a video. I therefor assumed that uncloned accidentally posted this in the wrong topic.

So I was kind enough to quote the entire text, remove the post and inform him, to find out that we both screwed up here.

Oh well. Its a nice link, and now it actually makes sense. So please forgive me.... again... X)
"Heh, maybe I should've joined the compo only because it would've meant I wouldn't have had to worry about a damn EQ or compressor for a change. " - Atlantis
"yes.. I think in this case it was wishful thinking: MPT is makng my life hard so it must be wrong" - Rewbs

with all due respect...

I didn't screw up. My original post was directly in line and on topic.

I have no idea why many people here at modplug have suddenly become overly aggressive, taking offense, or outright insulting one another.

I have thought this community had a standard of conduct that was unusual on the net - one that was based on mutual respect and tolerance for opposing views. It is unfortunate that recently this apparently has started to break down.

I'm not at all insulted by being moderated, but I do find it bizarre, especially in the light of the actual ill words between participants here. My personal opinion would be to suggest moderating those incidents instead of off topic replies.

However, this is not my forum, and I don't run things, and I highly value my participation here. There is nothing that says that I need agree with everything.

Now... this reply is as off topic as the one I am responding to...

so there is no confusion here is what I'm responding to.

awesome instruments :D (although the "box", a Cajón, is an ordinary instrument).

and just in case you've never heard a violin through a wah-wah pedal before...

My band and I listened to this band a lot. Alos with the black sabbath and Led Zeppelin - But the technique seemed so far out of reach! We tried though :-)

Right, Clones.. "Birds of Fire" is an outstanding album.
I just noticed that it isn't the original line up, because of another bass player, not Rick Laird (who is much older).
I can brag to say that I once was at a concert in Arnhem by the original line up.
It was great, but one of the loudest concerts I ever experienced.
And the guy with the blue violin is Jerry Goldman.

Talking about John McLaughlin : Another fast one with Trilok Gurtu and Kai Eckhardt.

By the way (I'm not sure about mentioning this already) :
1. With a tubelink one could remove anything trailing starting with the ampersand, like "&feature=related".

2. I found a nice app. to save the tubes on HD, by Jacek Pazera : Free Video Downloader
It has the advantage of a direct download, no streaming view is needed during saving like Webvideocap.
Once the link is in the clipboard, FVD will fill this in and detects the title of the track :
