What are the conditions for the file to upload, like file-format, resolution, etc. ? I have no idea. I noticed a default screensize of 425 x 350 at Youtube for example.
Here's some relevant info:
What are the limitations on size for uploaded content? We do have limits on the size of the video that can be uploaded due to the vagrancies of the internet and transferring files via HTTP. Videos should be kept under 10 minutes and 100 MB. Longer uploads increase the chance for corruption.
What File Formats are supported?Pretty much everything with the exception of Real. 3GP (Cell Phone video) has been problematic for our encoders as well and sometimes causes a video with only audio.
Why do you change my file format? We standardize on Windows Media and Flash8, but even then there are thousands of file formats. When you also add in different operating systems, browser settings, security levels, bandwidth needs, etc you begin to see why we move everything onto a standardized format. By doing this we insure that if a viewer configures their browser to watch MoodVees videos they can see them all with the same frame rate and level of quality and consistency.
What format do you play in?Our videos are Windows Media and Flash 8 with the On2 codec. Our Flash Videos are recorded at 300Kbps and our Windows Media Files are dual encoded at 400Kbps and 200Kbps with the Windows Media 9 compression.
Who owns Videos uploaded to MoodVees?Ownership of the video's Copyright is not transferred and remains with the creator of the content.
Users submit videos in any of dozens of different formats from MPEG1/2/4, Divx, 3ivx, Windows Media 7/8/9, Quicktime, Fraps, On2 VP3-7. These videos are at varying bit rates up to 10 Mbps. The vast majority of these videos are not in a format that can readily be streamed and must be converted to a common format to ensure a good experience for the user.
MoodVees has standardized on Windows Media 9 at 225 and 400kbps, which is auto selected based on the user's available bandwidth. Additionally offer Flash 8 based on On2's VP6 codec at 528kbps. Users will be able to toggle between the player of their choice.
The default screen resolution for MoodVees appears to be the same as YouTube - 428 x 351, with the controls included.
Hope this helps.
