Good song.  Is that a couple of lfo's down the side?  They cause disturbances in the sounds,  Instead of writing a song you just need a few of those wapping through they can make a song by themselves.

You have really mega long piano patterns and I like the synthesized bassdrum.
U can set a good drum on the synth indeed.

I think real musical mastery is using the synth,  not just the tracks,  when I was a kid I didn't think of the fact these sounds seem to be here out of thin air, and all I was doing was stealing them from other peoples songs instead of thinking->  "where do these things actually come from..."

Yup i use lfos a lot and you could certainly make a tune using those instead of code.
As for piano, was my first instrument other than voice which is why i tend to use piano a lot. Glad u like the synth kicks i have been making.
When i first started tracking my first thought was where are all the people getting their samples. But yeah over the years i have been learning how to make my own of everything, which is how i prefer it do it when i am up for the challange. Anyways glad the tune is being enjoyed.
