Howdy Folks,

Anyone here have one of those sound systems with a subwoofer connected to it?
I have a few sound effects for a game that I'd like to make sure don't have too much low end bass, and my monitors lack that extreme bottom end.
I'll be glad to PM links of the sounds for feedback.

Thanks.

I have 2 speaker systems with subwoofers on both of them.

A 7.1 Creative (camebridge soundworks) GigaWorks S750 whose are THX certified and
A 5.1 Creative I-Trique 5600

Though you could also detect anomalies using a spectrum analyzer.

Not everything that looks good sounds good as well.

You said it Jojo. Truth is I wouldn't know how to look :S. I mean sure I could load a frequency analyzer and check out the bottom end, but how would I know what is too much unless it's blatantly too high. I've usually  rely on my ears really.

Although I understand there are analyzers for mastering that are tailored to find harsh frequencies.  If anyone knows more about these I'd be interested to know.
