This is a 10 minute orchestral piece written for the same game that I wrote Aurora for.

It's like a small journey with the elements of mystery, romance, playfulness, grandiose, awe and a few others you can imagine. All displayed using a primary thematic motif.

This motif was actually based on a composition by the games creator who is also a musician. I just took it and expanded it tremendously.

This was actually a worrisome piece to make, since I chose to stray quite far from modernly accepted game music. However it was well received so the chance was worth taking.

Questions and comments are always welcome since this was a very large production.

Hope you enjoy:

I must say this is an excellent piece of music!

It could very well be played during a movie intro or something like that. Excellent stuff.

I'm not so much a fan of soundtrack music myself, so I did some work while listening to it (otherwise this kind of music becomes boring to me, but don't worry thats an issue on my end)

I must say that it was really great to have this playing on the background. In fact it still plays right now, quite possibly even its 3rd run.

There are some very nice melodic structures in there. From that point of view, you really do have the same frequency response as I have :P (translation for the nibwit: we like the same chordprogression and combine similar notes)
"Heh, maybe I should've joined the compo only because it would've meant I wouldn't have had to worry about a damn EQ or compressor for a change. " - Atlantis
"yes.. I think in this case it was wishful thinking: MPT is makng my life hard so it must be wrong" - Rewbs

Thanks for that LP. It's going to be played in the background so that's actually excellent feedback :)

thank you!

I found it to be a very interesting piece.

Are you using east-west samples?

You maintain a nice balance between continuity and development.

I did indeed use EWQL Symphony Orchestra. In this case I primarily used the Surround mic position to give it a more ethereal wrapping around it.

However I also combined Siedlaczeks Advanced Orchestra and G-Town Sampling Project samples where I found EWQLSO didn't have the sound I was looking for. Oh and Spectrasonics Symphony of Voices for the choir, which is included in Omnisphere.

Thanks for listening.
