I had to learn this piece in piano class. It is one of 6 pieces written by Arnold Schoenberg that make up his Opus 19. Below is a link with much interesting information about the composer and these pieces.

I rendered two version of #2 of 6 called Langsam (Slow)

It is quite minimalistic.

Here is a PDF of the piece - beware that Sonar mangles the accidentals and expression is not visible. But its good enough to follow.


I toyed with a synthesizer rendition... possible but I found nothing that struck me as much as the ensemble version.
