Hey guys!

Wanted to share a small tune I made. I was looking at my native city from Google Maps and wrote this tune. It is about memories, about the present, about understanding that time goes forward, leaving behind many important things and yet there is a feeling that this is how it should be - or perhaps, more accurately, there is simply no judgment there, just observation. So it is not "this is how it should be", but rather "this is how it is".

It seemed interesting to me that even a tune, seemingly as minimalistic as this one, can evoke emotion.

I think that ambient is a lot about subtle nuances. Where people might expect a stronger wave, you instead deliver a very delicate texture, filled with shades of meanings, tingles of colour. In the end it might give a much more powerful impression than melodies and high volumes.

I also believe that in the commercial culture, in many movies that are shown in cinemas and TV, too many things are explained, thus loosing lots and lots of details. Things that need to be left unsaid, are pronounced in a most blunt manner. Lines that needn't be drawn, are drawn out in bold lines. The delicacy of human character, the small and dominantly important net of tiny circumstances, thoughts, feelings, all of that is lost under blocks of simplistic and bold messages, making things flat.

So this work presents no bold messages, no clear ideas. But ideas, not fully clear to your mind, can be absolutely well understood by your heart.

uncloned

nice, almost Pauls extreme stretch imitative - but lost my interest about 70% through.
