When I played in Urbana IL last December I was able to take a video of one of my performances as well as midi record it.

Using that video and the original midi + original soft synths I combined video effects plus the output of "Marktxt" to the original performance - a program that was an attempt
to apply artificial intelligence to posts on USENET - the program was trying to converse with people by taking posts, chopping
them up, randomizing the pieces, and re-posting back to the same USENET group.

I applied that program to a large number of lyrics by Evan Harrington and myself and used the output as the basis of the text

Thanks for sharing all this, Clones, a very crisp video production.

In your blog you sound a bit disappointed cq cynical of the audience response.
I can understand that, after remarks as "... Clockwork orange...".  duh..

Regarding "Marktxt" : I remember having an app for this : WordShuffle.

Thanks for the view and comments.

I didn't mean to be cynical - I was being truthful
This piece had probably the worst response - but at the same time it probably was the most experimental - of  the pieces performed.

If you remember that one guitar jazz piece - I tried to perform that - I got about 5 minutes into it but my hand cramped so bad I had to stop - that did get lots of applause and while I was playing it I had some positive crowd sounds.

You can't have everything. I was surprised though in the sense that the total program was not nearly as experimental as I'd expected with "oddmusic convergence" as the title.
