You made a kinda RM intro up to 0:22, but this file lacks an outro.
In the meantime the torture is very nice with for example the reverse effect.

OT: I noticed, that you saved this ogg with Audition.
Do you experience the same problem as me with CEP, when opening the ogg again, that it is 32-bit ?

Hi Thanks for the listen and comment.

The original recording was 32-bit though I thought I had converted to 16bit before saving.

What do you mean by "RM intro"

And I did cut off the end - I was concerned it was too boring. The full improvisation was almost 8 minutes long.

8 minutes long, ok, that explains it.
Sorry, I meant with 'RM' a Ring Modulator sound.

The 32-bit thing has nothing to do with this particular song by the way.

I just tested this a bit more thoroughly, checking after each step with Audiodata.

1. Loading a 16-bit WAV with CEP.
2. Saved it as OGG, also being a 16-bit, closed CEP.
3. Opening this OGG with CEP again. Status bar shows : 32-bit.
4. Saving as OGG again : Still 16 bit.
5. Saving as WAV : 32-bit...

I suppose that the OGG format can't be higher than 16-bit.
Maybe this is a flaw in the CEP filter.

ok, no not ring modulated

this is, by the way, a mono signal recorded stereo with left and right getting different effects.

in the beginning one side is up an octave with the pitch shifter, the other side down an octave. So its just artifacts I guess. But indeed it does sound like a ring modulator. Probably it IS in the sense that the artifact is related to the splicing frequency - and modulates the signal like amplitude modulation.
