With LPChip's hard work on a new site design, he has been unable to add any more to the current set. But here are some of my favorites in case you can find use for them. Here's how you can put them to use:

1. Before posting, open a new window and go to this page.
2. Go back to your original window to do all of your navigating/posting/browsing.
3. In a reply post, when you want to use one of these, right click on the emoticon's name and copy the shortcut. (This will of course eat up your clipboard's contents.)
4. In your post, click on the "Img" button, paste the shortcut at the cursor (cntrl-v), then click on the "Img" button again.

Now you can have a more expressive, eye-catching post!

:gay:

I personally prefer to keep the amount of emoticons at a minimum, especially since many "non-standard" emoticons tend to use char combinations which are not meant to be an emoticon - the one that I often get angry about is for example 8) - but this is just a personal opinion.

How, if work on it hasn't even started yet?

Oh it has started, just not as far as I wanted :P

I have installed a forum, and got stuck when I wanted to make the theme, then I ran out of time as I've bought a house.

That sounds like an excellent short story! So many unconnected items! :D (well, at least the house).

I'm currently looking into different php bugtracking systems, and it looks like Mantis is the way to go. I'll play around with Mantis and SMF to see how they can be used together.

As many times as you and i have misunderstood each other, i would think you'd be all for anything that makes our "tone" clear. :P

I on the other hand will be sprinkling these in liberally....

But i do agree about some of the symbols for emoticons like ^^ and :x. I can't type a ratio to x as y:x or discuss the Note Cut command.....

Harbinger

.... without getting this:  y:x   or ^^

well, there's a trick: simply put a between two of the emoticon's chars and it won't show up as an emoiton. I did it the same way for printing out the "".
