It's my first try on collab between me and Restrik.
Restrik recorded the guitar (acoustic/bass) and the vocals.
I tried to remake it the way I see it fits to the mood of his playing/singing.
So what's left of it is vocal+ac.guitar.
Everything else is tracked and glued with his recordings in OMPT.
As you may hear I was having tons of fun with drums :D

size: ridiculous
length: laughable

And beware, it's in Russian
[EDIT]
Updated with a better mix

uncloned

Wow - you guys did a great job!!!

Very funky and cool. The production is quite good!

The horn sounds very realistic.

TheEagle

As Mr. uncloned wrote, a funky and cool song...
Great work! :D

Sam_Zen

Nice work, a bit short.
But I think this collab has potentials..

Quote from: "uncloned, The Eagle"...funky and cool...
It was not intended to be like that but when i did drums i was thinking of James Brown, it came out nowhere near, but I like it.

Now THAT'S a compliment! I was bored to death trying to mix it more or less that you can hear all the instruments. This is unusual to me to mix good, so huge thanks for this!

The horn sound is from Milestone VSTi, i was using a demo, hence the trumpet phrase is so short, recorded between the nagging noise :D

Quote from: "Sam_Zen"Nice work, a bit short.
The reason for it being too short is this: it was written by Restrik during some drinking party or  hangover, I don't remember :D , so it's not a serious song.

Thanks for listening and comments, I'm glad you liked it!

I agree with both Clones and TheEagle -- this is a funky little track. I was just waiting for the trumpet to go off into a huge funky solo section, but I guess I'll have to wait for an extended version. :P

The extended version won't be released anytime soon, if not at all. If Restrik decides to write more lyrics, and if I'll buy that Miles'tone VSTi (which is almost impossible at this time due to Paypal problem and financial situation) then we will think of it. I'm interested in other Restrik's songs as well, but he's busy now with his live project (ac. guitar and violin), so enjoy this little track for now, Barry :D

First post updated. An overall better mix, disposed of muddy reverbs and made drums more pronounced without drowning the vocals. Decided to leave bass as it is.
Changed some crashes at the beginning of the some patterns and notes that made me shy too :D

Thanks, Sam! I'm glad that it sounds good not only for my ears :D
