Jazz-like piece with a simple theme : two descending notes - then some random anyways. 1978.

Bites - 4:46

Necessary or not, quite some room in the middle for some solo instrument.

Hi Sam I like this and I'm going to take a stab at pitting leads to it.

Nice Clones. Please go ahead.

Yes, a forerunner you are. I've heard pieces like this in raves during the 90's. The only difference is about the kick. Techno provides a regular, powerfull and hypnotic kick that was not yet implemented in 70's electronic music .

Good tune.

Keep on digging your archives, Sam !

I understand your point about the kick. But I think this is quite a difference in approach whether jazz or pop.
In jazz the basedrum is just another accent, while in pop it has to be the driving regular one..

edit: on the other hand, if I would have had a fat kick sound available then, I don't know..

Yes, in jazz, drums are an almost independant instrument. In house/tek, the kick is a framework.
