All members of this forum are supposed to work with MPT, but maybe not exclusively.
Some maybe make also compositions with other means, like Fruity Loops, or a real-time recording of a piano.
I think these works should be able to publish in the Download Forum as well.
But it should have an indication if it's MPT related or not. Because that's the core of the forum.

So, it's already free to open a thread on the forum about something else as MPT, but one would announce it as 'Off-topic'.
Proper net-behaviour, nothing wrong with that. So the same syntax could be valid for the Download section.

If a published composition has nothing to do with tracker-modules whatsoever, it should be mentioned, that's all.
It can be considered as off-topic as well. So I propose in this case a leading 'OT' in the style tag.

Hmm... I see your point, but I'm not entirelly sure if it is required.

The new system will certainly support it, but for this forum, I guess it would be sufficient to just mention it in your post. There's already so much information in the title bar, and does it really makes a difference how it was created?

I see it more as nice additional information.
"Heh, maybe I should've joined the compo only because it would've meant I wouldn't have had to worry about a damn EQ or compressor for a change. " - Atlantis
"yes.. I think in this case it was wishful thinking: MPT is makng my life hard so it must be wrong" - Rewbs

Sam_Zen: Then you might be disappointed to learn that not a single tune I've posted in the Downloads Forums had anything to do with MPT. I stopped using MPT around 6 years ago.

No Louigi, I'm not disappointed, because after all, I just listen.
But according to the forum-theme, I'm not only interested in how it sounds, but also in how it's done. And with what.
If a tracker-module is involved, I will propably consider the use of codes, instruments, etc in my review as well.
If a track is non-MPT, it's nice to know, because then I can focus on for example the production as tech aspect.
