How many PC keyboards you are able to use at once

None! I'm controlling my PC with mental powers! (and a bit of help from my mouse)
1 (12.5%)
Only one, like all sane men
7 (87.5%)
Two (one for each hand)
0 (0%)
Three, like Tank in Matrix movie
0 (0%)

Since I've got obsessed a bit with this issue (I'm planning to buy another keyboard  ) I wanna know how many of you people able to use more than one keyboard at once. MIDI instruments won't count. If you have some notebook plugged in local network that counts.

I have one keyboard inserted locally, but I know that you can have many more. I am not sure there's a limit, but its kind of useless, cus they take up space and they'll respond the same.

If you count network pc's as input devices, then I'd get to alot more than 2 :P.

I do have remote access from and to them, but when I use them, I don't use my local keyboard, so I think that doesn't really count.

And if MPT will be able to distinguish between them - like playing different instrument or different octave range. I don't talk here about multiple MIDI keyboards, since I cannot test that, but MIDI input code seems to be quite simple (some 300 lines of code), so I think it can be easily updated.

I mean that's comparable easy to write some redirector of keypresses over network. Harder thing is to get remote PC show MPT window (you can use remote admin, but that will give big delay). So you should see your screen from remote PC  :) .

Several midi keyboards would be pointless too, cus a midi keyboard covers the entire range, depending on the amount of keys it has.

True, maybe for several instruments, but be honest with me here. Is it really necessary to have support for this?

If you want to write in another instrument, you'll probably have to do that in another channel, so you can aswell use the short-keys to change the instrument, and even change the octave by keys.

I would find it much more trouble to have these on my desktop as it takes in space and it would be confusing to know what keyboard does what. (not even talking about if its even possible to program this.)

No, but mousewheel-as-pitchbend support would be nice. ;)

I can think of just one situation: trackers party with PC deficit (each member should bring his own keyboard of course ;) ).
When I'll buy another keyboard I'll bring up more ideas, hehe. Until then it's really useless :( .

Make feature request if you want that. I see it like having wheel up/down movement to generate keyboard event so you'll be able to bind it to any keyboard shortcut. If that's not what you want please make another feature request to add required keyboard shortcut :) .

Hehe, no, I wasn't serious - I was just imagining trying to use two PC keyboards as a MIDI keyboard and thinking that the pitchbend and modulation wheels would be missing. ;)
