Rating Downloads should be easier

Hi,

I just downloaded and then rated a .it file... and I think ratings are nice, as it is some way to feedback to the author.

But (obviously) you first download it, and then you rate it.  So I would suggest having another big "RATE IT!" button screen where the download starts on.

I had to press back, and back again, and then rate, and then choose the rating.

I see most songs have no votes for rating, and that kind of defeats the purpose of rating it... :-)

When I first came again on the Download Center, I wondered about that.. Why, maybe almost, no ratings at all ?
I can understand now why. Back and back again.. The final download page would the one to add the rate-button indeed.

I just tested this procedure, and I noticed another thing for streamlining : the stage with the license-agreement.
Every time I have to scroll down to be able to continue the download procedure. Pressing 'I accept' while I do on forehand.
So the abilty to read the license still should be there, but a shortcut should be nice. Or another 'I accept' at the top.

Hmmm... also apparently the votes doesn't update that quickly (if at all)...

My vote was for a file with 0 votes, and it still shows 0 votes... maybe the voting is broken?

It could very well be broken.

Unfortunately, the download section is based on a third-party "free" download script that was available online.  I used this script in order to get the downloads section online quickly, and as is the case with most of these scripts, it has bugs and doesn't work 100% properly all of the time.

I do have plans to improve this area, hopefully during some free time that I can find during the upcoming Holidays.

What is exactly the meaning of the votes? I see a 0/5 in almost every song, and sometimes a 1/5. I guess that the first number is the number of people who have voted for the song, but where is the rating?
