This song is more of a bet and a demonstration than something I wanted to do.

Me and a good friend of mine were invited to a party of our former schoolmate, and had an interesting discussion. Soon after the disco part started, we began bitching about the extreme simplicity of modern dance music.

Neither of us is really in contact with such music, and after a while of listening and counting the chords in songs (some of which had like 2 or so), I told him that anyone could come up something like this in three days with no effort.

I made this song to prove my point, and to see what the reception will be.

Needless to say, this social experiment ended very expectedly. While no one really knows about my orchestral pieces, this track circulated in lightspeed.

That's the story of this overly simple track, done in a few days only by featuring everything a modern EDM piece has to have.

Sad enough.

Notes as i'm listening:

By far, Oliwerko's best production! Simplistic but mature and well-engineered. This piece can be classified as Progressive House or Progressive Trance.

The melodic line (or perhaps the instrument chosen) starting at about 1:00 is out of character with the rest of the song, as the vocals had prepared our minds for a lyrical exploration. The overall architecture requires the use of a more filter-worked timbre.
However, the thematic development has shown how far our esteemed colleague has come, including the production quality of the audio material. Combined with the melodic progressions, the song design shows an ear for a more sophisticated quality and conveyance of vision.

As a courtesy to the vocalist, i would include her name in the mp3 tag.

Excellent work, and worth keeping in your dance playlist.

Thanks for kind words!

It's funny because I wasn't at all inventive in this song. I just did what I observed in modern EDM (even the word "copied" comes to my mind).

The lack of vocal exploration and lack of vocalist's name have a common reason - the vocals come from a sample CD, I did not write the text and melody. It just (believe it or not) happened that I began making the track and then found these vocal samples, which (after going from 120 to ~140 BPM) fit the track nicely.
